Electric gantry cranes.
Electric gantry cranes with lifting capacity from 5 up to 250 tons are designed and suitable for installation in the open air for handling operations.
According to its purpose the gantry cranes are divided into following types:
• General purpose cranes;
• Special-purpose cranes.
Gantry cranes of general purpose, sometimes called transport crane, are used for mechanization of loading operations at open warehouse and loading grounds.
In most cases cranes with loading capacity up to 100 tons, span height from 7 up to 14,5 meters and span length of 8 - 32 m are used.
Gantry cranes of special purpose are mainly used:
• for load lifting during the installation of production plants facilities, ships, power plants, buildings,
bridges, loading of long length retail consignments (they are also called construction and mounting cranes);
• to serve hydro power plants (HEPP), HEPP’s turbine houses, to assembly and disassembly open type units,
to lift HEPP’s water gates, to serve flood gate, dams etc. A special feature of cranes for hydro power plants is
a high lifting capacity with a relatively small span.
Cranes are supplied with performance of full electric installation of control cabinets, with metal structure check assembly, with idle test of all the units.
By agreement with a customer, a crane can be designed both in the single-girder and in the double-girder execution.
Cranes can be manufactured with control from the cabin, from the floor (by means of push-button remote control system connected with crane by cable) or with remote control/radio control.
